Listen to Obituary

Blake was born on February 3, 2000, and was a beautiful, chubby infant who rarely cried and brought joy from the very beginning. He was a happy child with a gentle spirit and a kind heart. From an early age, Blake showed remarkable curiosity and ability. At the age of five, he learned how to swim and became an excellent swimmer. That same year, he discovered a love for soccer and played in local leagues in the Palos Verdes area until around the age of ten. In elementary school, Blake demonstrated strong intellectual gifts, winning a chess tournament while in second grade. He especially loved playing chess with his father, a cherished memory held close by his family. As Blake grew older, his interest in technology and gaming deepened. By the age of thirteen, he assembled his own computer so it would be advanced enough to support his gaming interests. He later developed a strong passion for video games and spent much of his time working on his computer, an area in which he was highly skilled. Blake completed his high school education at Palos Verdes High School and later attended Harbor Community College. Early on, he aspired to become a psychologist, reflecting his empathy and desire to understand others. As his goals evolved, he developed a strong interest in pursuing a career as a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. Blake was baptized in the Catholic faith and raised with strong spiritual values. About three to four years ago, he found a Christian church where he became actively involved in the Men’s Ministry Group. Through this ministry, Blake formed meaningful friendships and participated in retreats that supported his faith journey and personal growth. Music was an important part of Blake’s life. He was talented in writing songs and performing rap music, using creativity as a form of self-expression. He also enjoyed reading, studying philosophy, taking long walks, and spending time in nature, where he found peace and reflection. Blake was noble-minded, generous, and deeply compassionate. He always wanted to help others and cared profoundly for people. Family meant everything to him. He dearly loved his sister, Nicolette, and was always supportive and protective of her. He shared a close bond with his grandmother, Nonna, and cherished his extended family, including Tio Beto, Tia Malena, Tia Ana, Tio Tom, and his cousins Ryan, Frank, and Hayden. Blake was proud to be an uncle to his first niece, baby Amy. He also helped at home by caring for the family dogs and assisting his mother whenever needed .Blake was known for being respectful, self-aware, emotionally deep, and supportive of those around him. He felt life profoundly. The loss of his father in 2021 affected him deeply, but it also strengthened his relationships with his mother, his sister Nicolette, and his close friends, including Joseph, Luke, and others who remained by his side. Blake will be remembered for his loving heart, sharp mind, creativity, faith journey, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Scripture Reading John 14:1–3"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place"
