You are my best friend,

our connection is so strong it is lifelong and beyond.

I held your hand, even after you passed.

The friendship and love we share has been made to last.

You accepted me for who I am, and never judged me.

Even though I laid out all my imperfections for you to see, we shared the laughter

and the tears, all those moments in time throughout the years.

We confided in each other, we were so close and our secrets we never disclosed.

So many memories of happy times together being in your company was such a pleasure.

If I needed to talk you were always there, and would always listen because you cared.

I could phone you up and talk about nothing. Or have long talks about everything.

When I was sad, you would cheer me up by giving me a big hug,

or a gift as a pick-me-up.

On you I could depend. As you gave me your support, you were my shoulder to cry on

and in a storm my safe port.

I could be myself and share my thoughts with you as you knew what I was feeling.

When you listened to me, and then spoke, your words were so healing.

We always protected and guided each other.

Our time spent together was so precious as we loved one another.

You were there in my times of troubles, you were there to make me smile.

You were there to give me advice on life that often took a while.

When you flew to Heaven, I felt so lost and alone.

In my darkest hour, I couldn't talk to you about the worst pain I'd ever known.

It was you I needed so badly to be there to wipe away my tears.

To pick me up off my knees, hug me, and calm my fears.

Words will never explain how important you are.

I gave you my love, I would have given you my life, as you are my star.

We share a bond that's so strong, it cannot be broken.

Know that I am still holding your hand
