The Life of Freddie Moore

1937 - 2017


Freddie McKenzie Moore was born to John and Elfie May Moore on November 10, 1937 in Minden, Louisiana.  He attended school in the Los Angeles Unified School District and graduated from Jordan High Scool in 1956.  He accepted Christ at an early age. Freddie lived the Life of Riley. After experiencing Riley's Life, he became a Drug and Alcohol Counselor. He shared his knowledge with all that he came across. He was very outgoing and out-spoken. Freddie was a man of many words, a man with a pupose.  Once he became a Counselor at Tarzana Treatment Center, Freddie had many friends and collegues. He had a charm that never faded away, always staying away from negativity, and always "kept it 100%".  He leave to cherish hes memories 4 daughters, Terry, Denise, Renee, and Shawntae; 2 sons, Tyrone (Rosie) and Korey; 7 grandchildren, Reshonda, Tavia, ShaKari, Courtney, Terris, Kajuan, and Tyrone Jr.; 12 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Elsie and Classie; 1 brother, Verge (Anna); and a host of relatives and friends.  Preceeding him in death is his son, Freddie Moore, Jr.; 2 sisters, JohnEthel and Verna; 3 brothers, Prentis, Daniel, and John; and his granddaughter, Natasha.
