Mike Perez

Mike Perez passed away June 28, 2017 at the age of 58 in his home in Downey CA. Mike was born as Amilcar in Guatemala City on July 4, 1958 to the parents of Maximiliano Perez y Apolinaria Jerez. Amilcar was raised in Guatemala and immigrated to the United States in 1981. He became citizen of the United States in 1995, and had his name changed to Mike Perez. Mike met and married his spouse, Blanca Perez in 1984. He and his wife raised three sons, Carlos, Amilcar (Josue), and Bernabe, in the City of Downey.

For 35 years Mike Perez worked hard as an automobile mechanic. His hard work payed off as his three sons were all able to attend university and pursue advanced careers.

Mike devoted his life to God, his family, education, and work. He received an Industrial Bachelors from “El Ministerio de Educacionen la Ciudad de Guatemala” in 1978 where he specialized Automobile Mechanics. Mike obtained a Bachelors of Theology from Latin American Theological Seminary in 1999, where he graduated with highest honors.

Mike was an example of a hard worker for his sons and wife. He lead by example, as he worked hard and passionately during his automechanic career. He motivated his family to work hard at every step of their lives as well. Mike dreamed of watching his three sons graduate University. God allowed Mike to attend his youngest son’s graduation during the last week of his life.

Mike had been battling a long termillness for more than 2 years. Mike is survived by his wife, Blanca, his three sons, and his sisters, Elvira and Rosa. Donations for his funeral service can be sent to Blanca Perez at 8325 Dinsdale St, Downey CA 90240.

Mike Pérez falleció el 28 de Junio de 2017 a la edad de 58 años en su casa en Downey CA. Mike nació como Amilcar en la Ciudad de Guatemala el 4 de Julio de 1958 a los padres de Maximiliano Pérez y Apolinaria Jerez. Amilcar se crió en Guatemala y emigró a los Estados Unidos en 1981. Se hizo ciudadano de los Estados Unidos en 1995, y su nombre cambió a Mike Pérez. Mike se reunió y se casó con su esposa, Blanca Pérez en 1984. Él y su esposa criaron tres hijos, Carlos, Amilcar (Josue) y Bernabé, en la ciudad de Downey.

Durante 35 años, Mike Perez trabajó duro como mecánico de automóviles. Su arduo trabajo terminó cuando sus tres hijos pudieron asistir a la universidad y buscar carreras avanzadas.
Mike dedicó su vida a Dios, su familia, la educación y el trabajo. Recibió una Licenciatura Industrial del Ministerio de Educación en la Ciudad de Guatemala en 1978 donde se especializó en Mecánica del Automóvil. Mike obtuvo una Licenciatura en Teología en el Seminario Teológico Latinoamericano en 1999, donde se graduó con los más altos honores.

Mike era un ejemplo para sus hijos y esposa. Él motivó a su familia a trabajar duro en cada paso de sus vidas también. Mike soñaba con ver a sus tres hijos graduarse en la Universidad. Últimamente Dios permitió a Mike ver a su hijo menor graduarse durante la última semana de su vida.

Mike había estado luchando contra una enfermedad a largo plazo por más de 3 años. Mike es sobrevivido por su esposa, Blanca, sus tres hijos, y sus hermanas, Elvira y Rosa. Las donaciones para su servicio fúnebre pueden ser enviadas a Blanca Perez en 8325 DinsdaleSt, Downey CA 90240.
