Thomas Allan Jerou

Thomas Allan Jerou was born on July 8, 1943 in Long Beach, California and passed away on June 23, 2023 leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love that will forever be etched in our hearts. Tom was preceded in death by his wife Stephanie Jerou, and is survived by his daughter Gabrielle Tabak, son-in-law Robert Tabak, and his two grandchildren Olivia and Jackson. His gentle and humorous spirit brightened the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Tom loved the outdoors, music, golf, computers and a good hamburger. He lived in Long Beach his entire life but for a short stint in Michigan where he met his wife on Halloween night in Bad Axe, MI. He skipped the third grade, attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School, Cal State Long Beach University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree and went on to receive his Master’s degree. He worked for years in the ever-evolving landscape of technology with companies such as Sperry and Unisys. Tom had an intellectual curiosity, a passion for lifelong learning and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others through social reform. Above all, Tom was a devoted husband, father and grandfather whose absence will be deeply felt by all who were blessed to call him family or friend.
