Jeanne Elizabeth Smith Millman Swoboda, was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in New York City. They married and moved to Hawthorne where they raised three children. She taught first grade at Ramona School in Hawthorne for over 30 years. She and her second husband Richard Swoboda enjoyed traveling with his children. They enjoyed their retirement years at the Canterbury. Her Christian faith was strong, being active at Hollywood Presbyterian and St. Andrews Presbyterian. She was a wonderful Christian, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Predeceased by second husband Richard Swoboda, and stepson John Swoboda, she is survived by brother Gordon Smith of Ft.
